Non-Profit Organizations
Farm Sanctuary - Mercy for Animals - Mercy for Animals is dedicated to establishing and defending the rights of all animals. Over 99% of cruelty to animals in the United States occurs at the hands of the meat, dairy, and egg industries - which confine, mutilate, and slaughter over 9 billion animals each year. As such, MFA primarily focuses on farmed animal advocacy and promoting cruelty-free food choices.
Compassion Over Killing - COK is dedicated to ending animal abuse by focusing on cruelty to animals in agriculture and promotes vegetarian eating as a way to build a kinder world for all of us, both human and nonhuman. They have offices in Washington DC and Los Angeles, CA.
Farm Animal Rights Movement (FARM) - FARM is dedicated to ending the use of animals for food through public education and grassroots activism. They believe in the inherent self-worth of animals, as well as environmental protection and enhanced public health. They operate just outside of Washington, DC and work through our Compassionate Activist Network (CAN) with volunteers in all 50 U.S. states and two dozen other countries.
Vegan Outreach - VO is dedicated to exposing and ending cruelty to animals through the widespread distribution of our illustrated booklets.
California Wildlife Center - CWC is a non-profit organization whose mission is two-fold: to assist sick, injured and orphaned native wildlife by ensuring each receives the highest level of rehabilitative care for release back to its natural habitat; and to promote protection of wildlife and its habitat through public education. They are located in Calabasas, Ca.
